The big Expository Chunk has been smashed to smithereens. It is an ex-Chunk. Instead I have dialogue, interaction, atmosphere. OK, there's still some exposition... can't help that, I think. But I no longer have indigestion over it.

Another gorgeous day, with some wind. Perfect for washing. I cooked a chicken last night, with slightly bitter oranges from our tree and a ton of garlic. Sweet potato with basil and a green salad to go with. Mmmm... leftovers.

We are having chicken today!! With an oatmeal stuffing - yum, and very Scottish. It is raining here...the end of a hurricane from down south - always a signal that Fall is almost here :( I hate winter - snow, snow and more of the bloody white stuff till May.

B & I travelled to Ontario in May '04: went down to Niagara and Niagara-of-the-Lake, Stratford & St Jacobs: had thoughts of getting as far as the Bruce Peninsula and Algonquin, but ran out of time, as we had tickets booked for Quebec City and Newfoundland & decided instead to drive up the St Lawrence to Ottawa. One day!

I'll be slightly better prepared for extreme weather next time: even in May, a rainy, windy day in Toronto is very chilly! Of course, 2 days later it was sweltering and steamy.

Niagara -on-the Lake!

Well we used to live in Kincardine, on Lake Huron and now we are in Barrie, an hour north of Toronto. I know St Jacobs and Stratford well. I am surprised you didn't have snow in May! Actually the snow seems to taper off in April, but I have known snow in May - 10" of heavy wet snow - uhhhhh. I have also known it reach +21c in April !

Oooh - Pros dialogue, interaction and atmosphere? *she says hopefully*

D'you know this tiny little post conjures up gorgeous visions all 'round... it shouldn't really, cos we had no orange trees, no sweet potato and we hardly ever had green salad, but it makes me think of growing up back in Aus!

Yes, Pros - although after almost a year I still haven't decided whether this crossover idea is the biggest unintentional crack!fic of all time, or whether it can stand on its merits!

*g* my mum's idea of a nice meal was savoury mince. No tomatoes, but heaps of chopped carrots, maybe peas, worchestershire sauce. On toast. Herbs came in (sparingly) bought jars. For economy, they were kept until they pretty much turned to powder.

So glad things have changed!

Oh... mince for dinner! Yes, and wasn't it fancy if it included the dried herbs as well! And the standard meat and boiled to death three-veg... *shudders*

Nice colours here, btw, and very butterfly/orchid net...

And finally - you have no idea how much I'm looking forward to your crossover, I think it's a genius idea and I can't wait *g*
