You know that Russian movie I went to see the other weekend? Well, I forgot to mention that Bryan Brown & Rachel Ward were standing in the queue right next to us. So I put her name into the Oracle of Bacon:

Rachel Ward
was in
Christopher Columbus: The Discovery (1992)
with
Nicholas Selby (I)
was in
The Tragedy of Macbeth (1971)
with
Martin Shaw

and his:

Bryan Brown
was in
Parker (1984)
with
Bob Peck (I)
was in
Ladder of Swords (1990)
with
Martin Shaw

Same with LC:

Rachel Ward (I)
was in
Against All Odds (1984)
with
Richard Widmark
was in
Who Dares Wins (1982)
with
Lewis Collins

Bryan Brown
was in
'Breaker' Morant (1980)
with
Edward Woodward
was in
Who Dares Wins (1982)
with
Lewis Collins

*g*

Oh, gosh, I haven't thought of Bryan Brown and Rachel Ward in years! Cool. As is all the connection things. Wow. It is a small, small world.

Oh wow - Bryan Brown! How's he doing, anyway?! *g* I don't seem to see him any more over here, but I guess he's still working at home?

And yeay for Pros-y connections! *vbg*

I like that, you casually forgot you'd been rubbing shoulders with the stars. *g*

And there's Edward Woodward as centre again.

Amazing, isn't it! And looking at some of those dates... wow, I didn't think 'Breaker Morant' was that long ago - why, it's Pros era! *g*

He seems to be doing a lot of locally produced stuff still.

How's he doing, anyway?! *g*
Lol! I saw him when we first walked into the atrium, and he looked familiar, but I couldn't put a name to the face. Then my friend said something (I think to distract us from stealing his popcorn) and then we had to line up & wait while the crowd from the previous session left the cinema, and that's when they were standing next to us...

IMDB says he's 6', but he didn't look that tall - maybe just a little over my height. He looked older than any of the photos there as well - got that sun-damaged Aussie skin, but pale rather than tanned (well, it's been winter).

No, I didn't talk to him *vbg* - just tried to be nonchalant like everyone else - the Chauvel's one of those theatres that attracts the arty crowd.

I truly did forget *g*. I guess I put both of them in the "well-respected" rather than the "celebrity" pigeon-hole these days.

Edward Woodward
I really enjoy EW as an actor.

Who Dares Wins and Ladder of Swords really seem to be key movies for our lads in this game *nods*. And echoing mcmoat, Bryan Brown, damn I haven't thought of him in years.
