I'm leaving on a jet plane

Just one more hour & I'll be on my way to the airport, 2 hours after that airborne!!! On my way to England & Nattercon & great, great people...

My bag is packed, and for some reason isn't as full as usual. I've probably forgotten something vitally important. In fact my cabin bag feels heavier, what with the laptop and reading material ("Naming of the Dead" by Ian Rankin). My head is slightly on the fuzzy side and I have an unexplained gouge in the side of the middle finger on my right hand (note to J, I put a band-aid on it, that's another identifying sign if needed!). Both these due to imbibing an incautious amount of rum & coke last night. Not a sensible thing to do pre-flight, I know... but at least I should sleep well!

Safe trip! Hope you have a lovely time at Nattercon, and in England of course! The weather here is very 'April showers in May' at the moment, but flowers and trees are blooming, perfect weather to cosy up and read all those lovely May Day fics on DIALJ. Have a great time! *g*

I was slightly disappointed by The Falls and Fleshmarket Close, but this latest one of his is a real winner (and makes me want to go back to Edinburgh again, although there's no time this trip). I got about half-way through the book by the end of the flight & I'm sure the rest will be read over the next few days.
