Have you checked out Fanlore? There's a Pros page which has developed nicely, although with a couple of exceptions a lot of the work has been done by fans no longer engaged directly with the fandom.
Love LOLcats to bits, especially since I can't have one of my own these days (bush area, too much native wildlife about, plus the bloke doesn't like them). And these LOLcats are worthy!
