Is anyone else experiencing lj problems? I've found posts from yesterday and the day before on my flist that I know weren't there when I last looked. And not getting notifications. Hmmm.
I haven't had issues, but I've seen several complaints from people who are also having the same issues as you. Fingers and toes crossed that it all settles down soon.
Interesting that it doesn't seem to be affecting everyone. I can't remember all the comments I've made, and it's annoying trying to track back - kindkit says they're working on the backlog, so hopefully sooooon...
That's what I heard - I'd seen a post or two over the past couple of days but it didn't seem to be universal and I was getting comments until this morning. Weird. And it's been over 12 hours too.
Comment notifications were down throughout LJ because of a code problem. The latest announcement says notifications are back up now, but of course there's a huge backlog.
Thanks - I'd seen a few comments here and there, but hadn't worried because I'd been getting notifications up until this morning. It's been 12 hours - guess it was a big problem.
Maintenance announced the other day that while they were doing one thing something else broke, and so notifications weren't working - almost at all (I've been getting some).
I've also just seen posts blaming the free snowflakes for it (afaik the maintenance announcement went out before the free snowflakes had really got going though, so you'd think if it was that then they'd've stopped them much sooner) saying that some lj users had been sending them en masse as a prank/spam that made the notification queue even worse...
Thanks for the heads up about re/appearing posts though - I must scroll back further through my flist just in case!
It could just be me not noticing posts - I've been awfully busy for the past few days - or it could be something skewiff with my normal reading filter. Dunno!
I was getting notifications when others weren't, and now I'm not (for over 12 hours). Hopefully fixed soon, because I can't remember all the comments I've made!
Notifications have been down for my journal, too. Very annoying. Only the notifications for virtual gifts were working *g* Even those that were free by accident.
Ah and that football table you posted the link is very clever. Complete history of English FCs.
The notifications are coming through not - in a strange order! Hopefully we're just about back to normal.
And thank you! I'm not really a soccer fan, but the Lads are, and I wanted a resource in case I mentioned football in a story someday. It's good, isn't it?
I'm interested in sports when there's some psychological component in it, fight of strong characters, like in tennis. Sometimes there is this moment in soccer, too. Funny, crazy chaps are in there, too. The table is interesting in that way that you can follow the sometimes rollercoaster way some FCs are taking during the years. And authentic details are always a plus to pros fiction.
