I wrote a Drabble!

Yes, I have been known to state that there are too many of these little beasties about, compared with more substantial fics. But the Face to Face Fan Fic Fun Fuh-Q Fest at Sinpozium (which I signed up for and then was too chicken to write anything) had a delayed effect. This came to me tonight & I wrote it in about 40 minutes:

(Warnings: Bodie/Doyle slash content. Characters not mine, I'm just playing. Sexual references, probably NC-17. Don't read if underage in your jurisdiction, etc)


The longship rode in to the beachhead. Warriors grasped shields, linden made, hard-rimmed. They dropped from planked sides, waded ashore, forming for attack.

Doyle arose to screaming. “Vikings! They’ll rob all the women … and rape all the men!”.

He leapt, held spear-bright, opened the door. A stocky warrior pushed through, knocking spear aside. Struggling, he was thrust onto sheepskin. A lance of fire penetrated him.

The sheepskin was soft, yielding. The fleece suffocating him. Pain, pleasure, hardness, softness… bed, Bodie?

“Bodie!”.

“Yes, sunshine?”

“We have to get rid of this bloody fleecy rug of yours before it kills me!”

This made me smile and nearly distracted me from the purpose of this post which was to check your age - you're over 18, aren't you? - really The Professionals reference ought to tell me that! Include it? Yeah, sure! Absolutely inspired by my lack of inspiration on the day. It would probably fit Cliche Alley, I did pick that to write about, can't remember the other cues, I think I drew Cabin - well again it would fit, in an unstated sorta way.
