I was only really 'looking' for you to tell you I just read and enjoyed your 'Well Hall' story. I love proper episode style plots mixed with the slash! I enjoyed your descriptions of the places. The descriptions of Ray's confusion were good too! Not sure why you chose the title, except that it started there.

Got sidetracked by your TV show list and only managed to find thirty that I'd watched. Could add NYPDBlue, Life On Mars and Spooks. Why are police/similar partnerships so fascinating?

The story of the title is a bit convoluted; I was having trouble working out my SantaPros contribution but I had a plot bunny about a cousin of Murphy's who had escaped from her violent husband and was staying at a place called "Well Hall". The name comes from a 17th century English Country Dance (something I do as part of my reenactment hobby - also I suck at titles generally, so I was glad to get that bit out of the way *g*). And I might still write that story some day!

Anyway, in October my friend K and I travelled to England to see "A Man for All Seasons" and on the plane we came up with the Hasan subplot, but I still needed a setting. I found the real "Well Hall" from an internet search on Sir Thomas More and took a trip out to Eltham while I was in London. Once I got there I realised the location was perfect. Talk about serendipity :-)

Thank you! The pics are lovely and I've put Well Hall on my list of places to visit next time I'm at my daughter's in the London area. I've friended you - we share quite a few interests though I don't share much or post much in this lj which is my 'slash only' lj (for convoluted reasons) - I ramble about me rather than fics in moth1. Having spent a year sussing out the vagaries of lj I'm considering combining the two again! (Now that I understand about filters and locked posts!!!)Hoping to read more fic - or more about your travels!
