Mmmm... the weather is nice today, but I think (looks at To Do list) I'm going to be stuck inside for most of it.

1. Sort ALHF renewal paperwork. Cheques in banking pile. Forms in folder under club name. Update member spreadsheet. Send M a back-up copy. Print letters to be sent with receipts. Ring M about card printing & receipts.
2. Write up notes from Holium laser demo yesterday, before I forget.
3. Go through work notes & have more panic attacks about things I've forgotten to do.
4. Ring W about firewood. Maybe go pick some up. Busted some blocks that were sitting around the backyard instead. This'll keep.
5. Do shopping, washing, the usual. Shopping check, washing, 3 loads, check. D (Son of Satan) called me while I was at the supermarket & invited himself & L around this evening. Strike most other plans, I gotta clean house & cook. Do the rest tomorrow.
6. Find receipt for breadmaker, which has decided to die on me :-(
7. Catalogue search for an additional wardrobe for the bedroom.
8. Clean/fix gear that's been lying around since Winter Camp in readiness for "March or Die"
9. Do something about the mess that is the hall cupboard, the library, the spare room.

and maybe if I'm lucky:

10. Write some more. 1 long story, 2 drabbles in the works.
11. Finish comments I've promised someone.
12. Watch Hazy Shades of Winter about 10 more times, because it's about Doyle, and it's fab.

ETA: And...
13. Draft letter to Vic DOJ about ALHF's gazetted exemption under Prohibited Weapons legislation (and how to keep it when we change from Australian to Australasian).
14. Print off & fill in NSW forms for changing name.
15. Organise new committee meeting.
16. Set up group email for dance group. Routiers_Dance set up.

Ah, thank you. My plans got waylaid a bit by guests, but the evening was well spent, so I don't mind.

[livejournal.com profile] ancastar did a brilliant job, didn't she? Scene seletion was very good, lots of stuff I hadn't seen/noticed in a vid before, all highlighted by the story theme.

Of course I'm also the world's greatest procrastinator, you realise :-) Me mum used to talk about that road, paved with good intentions...

I've worked through a fair chunk of your story, past where we meet Doyle in CI5. Do you want comments to that point, or do you want to wait until I've reviewed the lot. Sorry it's taking a while.

It is, isn't it? I tend to like the parts where Bodie comes in better because, well, for me it's them, not one in particular that floats my boat. :-)

Hope you get caught up so you can enjoy the nice weather. Me, if it cools off by October I'll be happy.

I see it was about 28 (83) degrees at 0900 in Phoenix, predicting a high of 36 (96) today (thank you, CNN).

That's Sydney-type summer weather. Although it might be less humid and therefore more bearable where you are?

I don't mind that it focuses on Doyle on his own - there are a few Bodie-centric vids around to balance things. Also, it's interesting to see each character separately once in a while. It did give me a few more thoughts that I might use.

Take care :-)

No, because the reason it's only 96º is because the monsoons have rolled in and there's cloud cover through most of the day. So, the temperature's down but the humidity is up. But I'll take that over 118º, which is what we had last week (which I, thankfully, missed.)

Anyway, I'm trying to have cool thoughts. *g*

Either way - sending me what you've got finished or waiting until you get through the rest is fine by me - although if you send what you've accomplished you will not feel like such a procrastinator!!!!
