Oktoberfest

The Oktoberfest party was fun: excellent food, good company and entertainment (backyard pall mall in the afternoon, gaming and dancing to live music at night). We had about 25 guests. A dozen or so - I think, didn't count 'em - stayed over and I cooked bacon & eggs for the clean-up crew in the morning.

What fun, the whole thing looks as though a good time was had by all. And isn't Charlie straight out of a Vermeer painting? Very effective lighting there! And you look... err, very demure, which I'm sure was how ladies were intended to look with their lace edged collars, etc! Thanks so much for sharing these!

Oh, thank you for the Vermeer thought! I like the Dutch 17th century painters a lot (I have an Italian book on some of the bamboccianti, and Jan Steen is another favourite - some of his ladies look like they would have been quite proper before the drinking started!).
