Oh, that was good. Best BL episode I've seen for a while.

The balcony scene at the end (from http://boston-legal.org/episodes.shtml):
Alan Shore: You typically have an answer for our most difficult problems, Denny. What’s the Tom DeLay part of you say about this?
Denny Crane: Ship ‘em off to Iraq. Let ‘em fight our war, and after, don’t let ‘em back in.
Alan Shore: Dig deeper.
Denny Crane: Medical research—test new drugs on ‘em.
Alan Shore: What’s your Dick Cheney say?
Denny Crane: Shoot ‘em.
Alan Shore: Problem solved.

felt very ironical, especially since I'd recently read THIS

Thinking too hard? Maybe. Anyway, it was good to see Halfrek again.

You're such a genius! As a result of your post, and the link to the Swift satire, I finally, after about twenty years of searching/trying to remember found that book I'd been looking for about the post-Holocaust mice! No wonder I'd not found it before, I had the title completely wrong in my head! Yeay you!

Sorry, never seen Boston Legal, although I hear it's very good...

Glad to be of service *g*. But I'm mystified - how did you get from here to there? It's late, and I may have missed a link but still - how?

Hee - well, it was this line in the wiki article that set me off: "Swift suggests in his essay that the Irish might ease their economic troubles by selling children born into poverty as food for rich gentlemen and ladies". Ah, thinks I, just like the book about the mice, Adamus and Evemus... wonder if this is where the author got the idea from?! Hmmn, did I ever try spelling it "Adamouse" when I googled? *did it* Nope, no joy... let's try "Adamus and Evemus" again, just for the sake of being at work on a dull day... Amazon! Someone had written a review since I last checked, which mentioned the names, and so this time the book came up! Wheeee! And if you'd not linked to the Swift piece, I'd never have thought to go looking again, at just the right time! *vbg*
