I wonder what The Pros would have been like if that decision had been made 30 years ago.

We did, and do, see lots of slashy bits in The Pros, although maybe it is better this way as we can make up all sorts of things in our minds. ;)

I don't think they could have made that decision - at least not publicly. Despite a probably representative number of gay men and women actually in intelligence - and therefore potential targets - because it would have been politically impossible.

I seem to remember a Pros fic about a supposed gay activist threat... can't remember the name now.

But I'm with you in one sense - the idea of clandestine B/D is a fandom attraction.

I wonder though, if these though gay applicants should still be able and willing to sleep occasionally with a woman without batting an eyelid...
